AB 288 in LA
High School - Concurrent Enrollment Program
The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) and the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) are formally working together to develop a regional framework under the AB 288 initiative. Under the theme of collaboration, these two major educational systems will develop the necessary educational pathways that will serve many students seeking to develop the skills needed for future jobs and careers.
Sacramento – This bill was written and endorsed by Assembly Majority Leader Chris Holden’s measure to promote a college-going culture for underserved high school students.
AB 288-Concurrent Enrollment promises expanded offerings for high school students, allowing them to take more college courses, and be introduced to college-level coursework both on a high school campus and at community colleges.
